Funding Opportunities

ATTENTION CONSERVATION DISTRICTS AND GRAZING GROUPS

The Arkansas Grazing Lands Coalition (AGLC) offers mini-grant funding to conservation districts and other local grazing groups interested in holding grazing field days, pasture walks, and workshops. AGLC is interested in funding events that grazing producers informed about the latest and most effective sustainable grazing practices and provide a first-hand look at rotational grazing, fencing techniques, watering systems, and more, implemented on actual working lands by Arkansas producers. Events can also provide the opportunity to learn more about the technical and financial assistance offered by the U.S Department of Agriculture through its grazing programs.

Mini-grants are available to conservation districts and other local grazing groups only – not to individual producers. Districts and groups must complete an application (pdf) and submit it to Matt Flynt, AGLC Chairman via email: matt_flynt@yahoo.com.

Applications will be reviewed by members of the AGLC Executive Board. Once approved, the district or grazing group will be notified. The funding is available as direct reimbursement of expenses.
